A SCARF ACROSS THE POND: SWAP IT – WEAR IT

The Swap it – Wear it Series was born after a fun collaboration with Rhea, where my necklace travelled across the pond, was styled by Rhea who sent it back to me to style for my Christmas travels to Malta.

This time Victoria from The Mummy Chronicles and I are styling a scarf – a timeless  and essential transitional piece in every fashion lover’s wardrobe.

This scarf  has a fascinating history. It was gifted to Victoria as a blogger secret santa gift and made it’s maiden journey from Califonia to Virginia. It then travelled from Virginia to Germany, and today it’s flying back to it’s lovely owner.

The colours of the scarf – pink and mint – scream Spring! Unfortunately for Victoria and I, Spring is still teasing us. As you can see in the photo below, Victoria wore the scarf on a day when snow was still around! She still looked radiant and stylish! I love the way she wore the scarf tucked in a belt with a pink crewneck sweater and a smart black pencil skirt.

I wore the scarf last Sunday for lunch with friends, and although it felt more like Winter at 9°C, grey skies and rain (hence why we had to improvise & take the photos inside), this casual and simple outfit cheered me up. I wore the scarf as a statement accessory with basic wardrobe staples – my favourite pair of jeans, a cream top and a trench coat. Funnily, both Victoria and I complimented our outfits with a pair of booties.

Today Victoria invited me to a cohost at Watcha Wearing Wednesday link up where you check out Victoria’s full post on  The Scarf Across the Pond and share your stylish outfits.  We would love if you join the link and get inspired – you will find the link at the end of this post.

If you are living in the neighbourhood (Luxembourg, Rheinpfalz and Mosel area) I highly recommend this family run restaurant – great service & authentic Italian food (not just pizzas!)

    I had missed this outfit I think. Love this pastel scarf and both you and Vicki styled it so well. This is such a great street-chic, European style Angele!

    Hope all is well!

    hi Angele! Nice to meet you {well, seeing your blog is seeing you, right?} Thanks for liking how I styled my new scarf. I usually would do complete ‘thrift’ ensembles but I’m incorporating more and more regular retail, sale priced items into my ‘repertoire’ now, with my new blog.

    {i have had a blog called ‘simple sequins’ [www.simplesequins.com] for 2+ years and that’s where i did my thrift outfits.} {i haven’t blended the two blogs, yet and not sure if i will, still.}

      Hey Renae,
      Thanks for taking the time to pop by.
      I love a bit of a bargain myself and I am always on the look out for a bargain. I never thrifted but I rarely buy anything full price, unless it’s a bag or shoes (my weakness!).
      Looking forward to follow your blog & your lovely outfits – you are always so stylish!

    Gorgeous! I adore those booties with it and the trench coat. I am in love with that purse. It is so perfect for this time of year. Thanks for co-hosting with me and doing this fun blog event!! It would be so incredible if more people joined in.
